The xx are a band from London, United Kingdom originally formed in 2005.The group was originally a four-piece band that met up at Elliott School, notable for alumni including Hot Chip, Burial and Four Tet.The xx became a trio when their keyboardist Baria Qureshi left the group in late 2009.In September 2010 they won the Barclaycard Mercury Prize.
